POOL POLICY

  • Pool hours are as follows:
    10:00 am – 11:00 pm,  Sunday – Thursday
    10:00 am – Midnight, Friday & Saturday
  • Limited pool/clubhouse reservations are permitted Monday through Thursday at the following specified times: 10:00 am – 12:00 pm (noon). ONLY TWO PARTIES CAN BE RESERVED PER WEEK.
  • Children under 14 years of age are not allowed in the pool area without adult supervision.  (In this case, the adult must be 18 years of age or older). *
  • State regulation prohibits swimming alone. *
  • Members must posses a key while visiting the pool, clubhouse, or tennis courts.  This is required to properly enter and exit the pool gate.  If the member with the key leaves the pool, so do the remaining members of that party.  NO ONE IS ALLOWED TO JUMP OVER THE GATE OR FENCE.
  • The pool area MUST close at the stated hours. The last person leaving should insure that:
    • – Air conditioning is OFF
    • – All lights are OFF
    • – All umbrellas are CLOSED
    • – The clubhouse and gates are LOCKED
  • Alcoholic beverages are permitted in the pool area ONLY for those of LEGAL AGE.
  • Tobacco is permitted in the designated area ONLY for those of LEGAL AGE. Tobacco is NOT permitted inside the fenced area.
  • Eating and drinking IN the pool are prohibited.  If you bring food to the pool area, please be considerate of others and clean up behind yourself thoroughly before you leave. NO GLASS containers of any kind are allowed inside the fenced area.*
  • No food, drink or wrappers shall be permitted within ten feet (10′) of the swimming pool. *
  • Members may bring up to six (6) guests (more if all in one family) at a time.  If a member’s eligible dependent (age 14-20) comes to the pool without adult supervision, they are limited to two (2) guests per family.  Members are always responsible for their guests’ behavior while at the recreation areas.  Homeowners are NOT allowed to bring another, non-paying homeowner or non-paying homeowner’s children.  GUESTS ARE NOT PERMITTED TO REMAIN AT THE POOL WHEN THE MEMBER LEAVES!
  • If you wish to allow a guest access to the pool, you must be present.  You cannot loan your key to someone else.
  • ONE PERSON ON THE DIVING BOARD AT A TIME.  Be sure the diving area is clear before diving or jumping.  No diving in the shallow end.  The diving board can only be used by individuals who weigh less than 250 pounds. *
  • The entrance gate must remain closed and locked at all times. *
  • County ordinance requires that the blue and white lifeline be attached across the pool at all times.  Please refrain from standing, jumping, or trying to walk on the lifeline.  If your family is alone at the pool, and you remove the lifeline to swim laps, you are responsible for reattaching it. *
  • Proper swimwear is required.  No “cut-offs” allowed. *
  • Children, three years old and younger, as well as any child not potty trained, must wear snug fitting plastic pants or a water resistant swim diaper. *
  • NO RUNNING ON THE POOL DECK, CLUBHOUSE PORCH OR STEPS. *
  • ABSOLUTELY NO ANIMALS, OF ANY KIND, IN THE CLUBHOUSE, POOL OR GATED AREA AROUND THE POOL. (Except for service animals for the physically impaired.) *
  • If you throw diving toys into the pool to retrieve them, please make sure you don’t leave anything at the bottom of the pool.  Do not use coins or items that can enter the drain or skimming system.  Pennies can stain the pool.  Please remove any toys from the water when not in use or when you leave.  Please remove or secure band-aids, hair bands and barrettes, toy jewelry, etc.  These items seriously affect the pool’s filtration system.
  • No person knowingly suffering from a communicable disease that is transmissible by water shall use the pool. *
  • No spitting, spouting of water or blowing nose in pool. *
  • No swimming allowed during heavy rain or when thunder and lightning can be seen or heard. *

Please be aware of those around you and be considerate of others.  Please help make this a fun, healthy environment for all of us to enjoy!

TENNIS COURT POLICY

  • Access to the tennis courts is for recreation members and their guests only, by use of a key issued by the CHHA board.
  • The tennis courts will be open 7 days a week.
  • Reservations are required during prime time hours: 5:30 pm – 11:30 pm, Monday – Friday 9:00 am – 11:30 pm, Saturday & Sunday
  • A 2 hour time limit will be in effect during this time (no matter how many CHHA members are playing).
  • Reservations can be made no earlier than 72 hours in advance.  Each family is limited to no more than three “72 hour in advance” reservations per week during prime time.  Regularly scheduled practices, ALTA practices, ALTA matches, etc. count towards this restriction.
  • Recreational members may sign up for open court times 24 hours in advance.   There are no restrictions on the number of “24 hour advance” reservations.
  • Please cancel any advance sign up times when you know that you cannot make it.
  • Proper tennis shoes are required on the court.  No black soled shoes unless they are specified for tennis.  Regular black soled sneakers mark up the courts.
  • Be considerate of others and use common tennis etiquette. Children should not be allowed to roller skate, ride big wheels, or ride bikes on the courts.
  • Please strive to keep our tennis courts clean.   Do not leave balls, ball canisters, cups, cans, bottles, or anything else lying on the tennis courts. If the garbage cans inside the courts are full when you finish playing it is your responsibility to empty the cans.

Team play:

  • Recreational members who are interested in regularly scheduled practices, ALTA practices and matches, or forming a team based in Casteel Heights are required to inform the tennis director of their intent at least 2 or 3 weeks before a roster is due to the respective league. The captain of all organized teams must be a CHHA recreation member. Each captain will be given a list of requirements from the tennis director.  All team practices will be limited to a 2 hour period.  Only one team may practice per night.
  • All team captains are responsible for giving the tennis director a copy of their roster, along with $20.00 each for Non-Casteel Heights player, for each league, each season before play begins.  This includes ALTA women’s, men and mixed double leagues.  In order to use the Casteel Heights facilities or name for any team play, including ALTA, the team captain must provide the team roster and required fees before the league season begins.  If the team captain fails to provide a roster or required fees then usage of the Casteel Heights facilities or name is not allowed.
  • The tennis court garbage cans must be emptied and chairs taken from the pool must be returned and stacked after each day of tournament play.

 

CLUBHOUSE POLICY

  • Reservations for private parties at the pool and/or clubhouse will be taken by Tommy Vicente at reservations@casteelheights.com.
  • Reservations must be made at least one (1) week in advance.
  • A maximum of three (3) reservations per year per Homeowner/Recreation member is allowed.
  • Limited pool/clubhouse reservations are permitted Monday through Thursday at the following specified times: 10:00 am – 12:00 pm (noon). ONLY TWO PARTIES CAN BE RESERVED PER WEEK.
  • Groups are limited to a maximum of 25 persons.
  • NO reservations are allowed on the weekends.
  • No more than one (1) reservation allowed per day.
  • It is the responsibility of the Homeowner/Recreation member to clean all areas used when their function is over. Garbage should be takento outdoor garbage cans. Failure to clean up will result in a call from the board requesting cooperation.  If rules are not complied with, a cleaning fee will be charged to the member.
  • When the pool/clubhouse area has been properly reserved and a private party is in progress, the area will be closed to all other members until the reservation time expires.  If the pool is being occupied at the time of the reservation, we ask that you use your discretion.  It is the responsibility of the Homeowner/Recreation member to post signs in the clubhouse windows announcing the date and time of the private party.  It is recommended that the signs are posted at least one full week in advance.
  • During the months when the pool is closed, the clubhouse may be reserved for parties between the hours of 11:00 am and the 12:00 am (midnight).  All rules regarding clean up, etc. remain in effect as stated above.
